Is everybody sick of blue-purple range? I see a lot of complaints about them in anon, and I still love them. I wonder if I should just stare at the ones I have and love them, if breeding them will only lead to exaltbait and tears.

No. It's a nice, popular range that a lot of people like. It's just that a lot of us feel more comfortable complaining anon about not being able to find the part of the colour wheel we like, for whatever reasons.

I, for one, like all the colours, but have caught flak in the past just for politely stating that I'd like to see more of something different than what's popular. (See: how ship wars can explode in fandoms.)

Does this bother anyone else? Because it sure bothers me. A lot. No matter if you feed your dragons they'll always lose energy at these times and not on a 3-4 hour individual basis when you feed them. So basically you're wasting a lot of fucking food.

somebody please tell undel that iridescent does not mean "coated in a thin layer of slime"

a handful of dragon models and colors actually do look iridescent. good work on those. but others, I don't think you tried at all. they look like a slimy wet bubble. it drives me insane trying to plan out iridescent pairs having to weed out the nasty bland slime color/s in an otherwise beautiful range.

it looks great on spirals because they have visible scales instead of skin. also decent on Snappers for the same reason.

looks awful on all the basic breeds, PCs, tolerable on ridgebacks and imps.

ALWAYS looks like crap on dark colours--unless the 'coated in tar' look is intentional...

it's the magical AH bug that absolves them of all of their retard lag-related fuckups

the bug causes the wrong dragon to get put up for auction (read: the site got laggy and i'm too impatient so i clicked on another dragon's picture while it was still loading)

it also mysteriously causes treasure value to switch to gems and vice-versa, mostly vice-versa (read: i can't fucking read or double-check which currency i'm using)

it also puts the wrong price up! (read: i can't count zeroes)

so yeah.

oh dear sweet lich jesus. people are still complaining about not being fully compensated for millions of treasure lost from the rollback.

because, as we know, the admins are just supposed to hand you the millions of treasure you gained from actions that were undone, and oh, hey look. you still have the items/dragons that you sold to get your treasure. yes, this is a perfectly sensible and reasonable approach to compensate people for having to do a rollback due to a horribly economy breaking glitch. Toss millions of treasure at people and leave them with things they can sell to make millions more! That won't affect things at all, having millions of extra treasure floating around that weren't earned! Gosh, it's not like the rollback was done to remove extra treasure and gems from the system that shouldn't have been there in the first place!

(all of this the result of discussing what the admins might do to recompense the problem with the scatterscrolls not pulling from 1/3rd of the wheel. Hint: they probably won't do anything. What can they possibly do? If they give out scatterscrolls only to people who bought them directly from the site, that's basically just handing money to resellers. Instead of putting them into the hands of people who actually used them. Maybe if they have data that can track who used scatterscrolls, or at least what dragons had scatterscrolls used, they could give the scrolls to the people who used them. But if they can only track the dragons that have been scattered... well, that's just handing money to people who bought dragons that were scattered previously.

basically, it sucks that people who bought scatterscrolls hoping for red-brown range had little to no chance of getting what they wanted, but there isn't anything they can do in this situation that is fair. Someone will get screwed over and complain no matter what, so why not take the path of least resistance and do nothing?)

I hope they can do something to recompense the people who used the scrolls, because it's pretty damn shitty that they were broken, and for so long, and didn't believe the userbase when they brought up the problem. I hope they do track who used the scrolls, though I kind of doubt it. It's just a crappy situation.

I drew a thing! And I need you guys to help me price my art.

I want to open a shop; this example is on the nicest end of cheap (I can do super polished and high quality drawings but I'd sell those for gems). It took three and a half hours to draw and color it. Most of my sketches are a lot faster and easier, so this will be my most expensive (treasure-wise) product.

What's the most you would be willing to pay for a piece like this? I'll scale downwards for the remainder of my prices.

Oh, this is really good! I'm not an artist myself so I'd probably be bad at pricing, but I've been looking for someone to draw a sig banner (you know, the kind with a headshot/chibi of one of your dragons, username, and ID number...everyone on the spiralknots tumblr has them if you haven't seen them, just as a quick example) so if you were willing to draw that type of thing I'd definitely be willing to pay for it.

So who here has actually gotten a five egg clutch? I have almost thirty pairs, most if which are different breed pairs, and never have, and I've never heard of anyone else getting one either.

I mean, it is an achievement so I guess it's supposed to be rare, but I'm wondering if it's one of those things the site is supposed to do but doesn't actually do at this point.

It only happens with different-parent pairs and has a 5% chance of happening. I had a 5-egg clutch as my very first breeding. It's rare, but it still happens.
