", unless if collection silicone dragon dicks + toying with them counts as a hobby in your book (does in mine)."

Oh, God, no, that's not a hobby. No.

you might still be crazy

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
how do you anons decide which dragons to keep and which to sell/exalt? i'm having a space issue and i know i should get rid of some of them - especially the ungened starters and probably my progens - but i have such fond memories of them all and i think they're pretty

also if you switch a familiar from one dragon to another does it keep its loyalty bond or is that only when it's maxed

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:11 pm (UTC)(link)
familiar bonds are with ~the clan~ instead of as a whole - you can switch them no problem

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I check the Dragons Wanted threads to see if anybody will pay for them. Then I exalt. :(

I sell/exalt everything I hatch unless it's REALLY pretty or is a perfect mate for a dragon I already have that needs one. One of my favourite parts of the game is sending my hatchlings out into the world and seeing what happens to them, and taking in other peoples' dragons and doing cool stuff with them, so I really don't understand people who default to keeping their hatchlings.

so wtf is the definition of monochrome

is it just "all colors (or all visible colors) in the white/black range" or what

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
mono = one

chrome = color

monochrome = one color

so all colors are the same (some people include terts, some don't)

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
don't be a dick, anon. it can be really hard to figure out what the names for certain color combinations are on fr. especially the way monochrome gets tossed around, i've thought it means white/white dragons, obsidian and white dragons, or all the same color dragons.

yeah but i've seen people apply it to dragons whose colors are... not the same, at all

enough people that i think it's less "these people are dumb" and more "the word's meaning is different for at least part of FR"

I use monochrome for dragons with two or more matching colors (tangerine/tangerine for example) and achromatic for grayscale (or just grayscale for grayscale. whatev). You can get monochrome white or monochrome obsidian but being white or obsidian does not necessarily make it monochrome.

Of course there are people who use it wrong but darn it I am going to sit in this corner and wave my cane at all the hooligans who do.

i use double for matching primary secondary and monochrome for grayscale dragons

no idea what the 'actual' definition is in terms of fr though

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
so i caved and got a circuit scroll to see what a particular dragon would look like with it since i couldn't find an example myself and it's come down to these two

i was looking primarily for the second one but the halloween circuit is pretty nifty too, even if i'll probably just sell the scroll for bigger bucks in the end

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
that is a perf halloween dragon

but that peppermint cutie, oh my gosh

I guess it's a sign that I have nice dragons for sale when I start getting a bunch of spammers messaging me about them.

Why yes, I would love to give you this dragon for free in exchange for a theoretical future offspring of said dragon with another one you don't even have yet! That sounds like a wonderful decision!

(Anonymous) 2013-09-09 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man, I had that happen to me with one of the few valuable dragons I sold. Almost makes me feel sorry for big-time dragon dealers if they have to deal with that shit all the time. The worst I usually get is people wanting to trade ugly dragons or reserves for scrolls.

How much should I price a Grey/Grey/Maize guardian for?

(Anonymous) 2013-09-10 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Why on earth are chests whose drops are always the same (burlap sacks, for instance) sold on the AH for many times the value of the contents? With chests that randomly drop objects, it makes more sense.

I know these things actually sell, because I've taken advantage of the noobs sold some myself.
